Actor Steven Seagal rips into female reporters in foul-mouthed leaked audio released on Monday.
The recording, released by DailyMailTV, was made during an interview to promote his 1998 film Above the Law, and features the Under Siege star referring to the journalists as “a bunch of f—ing dirty whores” and “c—suckers.”
“Well, I found that interestingly enough, the few times that I had a hard time, it was usually with women,” he is also heard saying.
When the unnamed interviewer asks why he thinks women have treated him unfairly, a clearly agitated Seagal begins ranting and swearing.
“I won’t even dare tell you what I think it is,” he rages. “One time, I’m sure that’s what it was and another time it was just some dumb c— that is a liar and wanted to be sensational.”
He also details feeling betrayed, spitting on the tape: “Bunch of f—ing dirty whores! You sit down with this sweet little nice girl and she seems to adore you and all this and that, and you’re a perfect gentleman, and you know, unbelievable… The way you combat is by let’s not ever do an interview again to show these c—suckers.”
Seagal has also been accused of inappropriate sexual conduct in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. More than 40 women, including Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ashley Judd, have alleged lewd behaviour on the disgraced movie mogul’s part in exposes published this month by the New York Times and the New Yorker.
Actress Rae Dawn Chong, Jenny McCarthy and U.S. TV reporter Lisa Guerrero are among the women who have alleged that Seagal engaged in inappropriate sexual behaviour with them.
The 65-year-old Martial Art celebrity has yet to comment on the allegations.
